Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of medical practice experience preferred.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA credential preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Experience with Athena EMR or similar EMR systems preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document vital signs, history, and medications.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers.
• Perform clinical duties per scope of practice.
• Assist with medications and clinical procedures as directed.
• Maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies.
• Document information in Athena EMR accurately.
• Coordinate labs, referrals, and follow-up care.
• Handle patient calls and portal messages within scope.
• Assist with prescription refills and follow-up communications.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and preventive care.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and infection control standards.
• Support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and service.
