Job summary

Marathon Health in Berea, KY is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our primary care team. The MA will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver patient care, perform vitals, blood draws, injections, and assist with procedures, while also handling receptionist duties such as scheduling and records requests.

The role requires graduation from an MA program, state certification or registration where required, CPR/BLS, and at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred or required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to room and ensures exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, injections, wound care, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Process test results and communicate results to patients as directed.
• Participates in outreach to drive patient engagement.
