Job summary

University Medical Center (UMC) in Nevada seeks a Medical Assistant to perform routine clerical and clinical tasks in the clinic, assisting physicians and other licensed providers to deliver cost-effective, quality patient care.

The position requires graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program and at least one year of ambulatory/clinical experience, with current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Epic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized medical assistant program and one (1) year medical assisting experience in an ambulatory/clinical setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accepted by the American Heart Association (AHA). Some position may require an Office Lab Assistant License within sixty (60) days of hire.
• At least 1 year of primary care experience required
• Epic experience preferred
• Must have, or obtain within the first month of employment, the required Office Laboratory Assistant (OLA) license/certification
