Holy Name Medical Center in Cliffside Park, NJ, is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide Front and Back Office Clerical and Clinical support within the Primary Care practice. You will assist physicians, perform venipunctures, vital signs, EKGs, and handle patient registration and scheduling with a compassionate, team-oriented approach.

The role requires CMA/medical assistant training, 1–3 years of hospital or clinic experience, and strong communication skills to ensure efficient patient flow

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
• 1-3 years hospital or physician’s office experience required.

Responsabilités

• Performs all medical procedures necessary (eg. Venipunctures, vital signs and EKGs) on all patients as required.
• Explains testing procedure to patient prior to test.
• Receives specimens from patients.
• Manually documents information required for patients’ specimens and tests completed, in various ancillary department medical records.
• Visually reviews test results for completion and abnormalities.
• Will schedule and register patients in the doctor’s office, answer telephones, greet patients and assist physicians in all other matters pertaining to the Physician’s office.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

A Brief Overview

Functions as a member of the Practice Management team working in different physicians offices providing both Front and Back Office Clerical and Clinical services.

Education Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent required and
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program. required

Experience Qualifications

• 1-3 years Minimum of two or three years’ hospital or physician’s office experience required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of venipuncture and EKG. (High proficiency)
• Requires a thorough knowledge of medical terminology. (High proficiency)
• Ability to work independently. (Medium proficiency)
• Requires good communication skills and telephone techniques. (High proficiency)
• Must have a thorough knowledge of ancillary testing procedures. (High proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA CMA certification must be obtained within 90 Days required

Pay Range: $22.50/hour - $27.00/hour
