PCHC's Helen Hunt Health Center is looking for a Medical Assistant (MA) to support primary care. Our mission motivates us to make a difference in our patients' lives. This position offers a $3500 sign-on bonus for externally-hired candidates.

Highlights of the Position:
  • Demonstrates compassion, collaboration, communication, and clinical judgment in patient care.
  • Provides direct support to providers during care delivery.
  • Performs patient chart reviews for pre-visit planning, medication refills, and clinical requests.
  • Supports clinical desktop work and strategizes within the care team.
  • Prepares examination rooms, instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Administers medications and vaccines under provider supervision, including blood draws and lab processing.
  • Maintains compliance with quality assurance standards.
  • Engages with patients to ensure they feel heard, respected, and involved in their care.
  • Collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to enhance patient experience and clinic processes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant training with essential skills and knowledge, or MA Certification.
  • Up-to-date training and certification in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (issued by AHA, Red Cross, or ASHI); must obtain within 2 weeks if not current.
  • Initial and maintained Certification is highly encouraged and supported.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, or
  • CMA certification by AAMA, or
  • RMA certification by AMT, or
  • CCMA certification by NHA, or be prepared to certify within 60 days of hire.
