Sanford Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join Merrill Center Primary Care in Merrill, WI. The MA will collect patient data, obtain vital signs, prepare patients for exams, and communicate information to the provider to support the care plan.
The position requires MA training or equivalent coursework, BLS within six months, and relevant healthcare experience. ND MAIII registration may be required in some cases; sign-on bonus eligibility may apply.

Department: Merrill Center Primary Care is a busy, team‑based practice where collaboration and communication are key to our success. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, with coverage provided between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to ensure access to care for our patients.
The Medical Assistant (MA) functions within the administration pre‑defined scope of practice guidelines per state location of practice. The MA in the ambulatory care setting collects subjective and objective health status data from the patient or caregiver and communicates this data to the health care provider. The MA contributes data to licensed health care professionals; and follows through on the patient’s plan of care under the direction of the provider. The MA communicates the provider’s written instructions for care to the patient or caregiver, by transmission of specifically defined information. The MA participates in care for patients, across the lifespan, in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, treatment, and follow‑up as patients move in and out of care settings. The MA performs a variety of duties under the direct supervision of a licensed health care professional, including but not limited to: obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, observing and reporting patients’ signs or symptoms, and performing point‑of‑care testing.
