UF Health in Saint Augustine, FL seeks a Medical Assistant to support both administrative and clinical tasks across multiple clinics under the supervision of a licensed physician.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, graduate from an approved MA program, and obtain MA certification within 6 months, plus current BLS. Prior MA experience is preferred, with strong communication, multitasking, and computer skills.

Formación

• Must have Medical Assistant certification or obtain within 6 months of hire/transfer into the position.
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association.
• Graduate from an approved Medical Assistant program.

• Assists in administrative and clinical tasks under physician supervision.
• Supports multiple clinics including urgent care, specialty, pediatric and primary care.
• Prioritizes tasks and communicates effectively with patients and staff.

Overview

Will float to multiple Urgent Care, Specialty, Pediatric and Primary Care clinics. A professional multi-skilled person dedicated to assisting in all aspects of medical practice including administrative and clinical procedures under the direct supervision and responsibility of a licensed physician.

Qualifications

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Less than one year - Medical Assistant experience.
• Prefer one year Medical Assistant experience.
• Must be graduate from approved Medical Assistant program.

Necessary Skills

• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
• Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of ambulatory health care or related health care fields.
• Skilled in conflict resolution.
• Ability to use computers.

Required Licensure/Certifications

• Must have a Medical Assistant certification or obtain one within 6 months of date of hire/transfer into the position.
