Job summary

Westerville Primary Care in Westerville, OH is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our established, high-volume team. This in-person role offers weekday hours with benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k) and more.

You will collect patient histories, take vital signs, perform EKGs, immunizations and point-of-care tests, and document in EPIC/EHR while upholding HIPAA regulations. Experience in outpatient primary care and EMR systems is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Completed a medical assistant training program.
• Outpatient/primary care experience preferred.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems, EPIC preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• HIPAA compliance and medical documentation standards.
• Discretion with confidential information and professionalism.
• Excellent communication with patients and healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient information and vital signs for accurate EHR documentation.
• Perform EKG, hearing/vision screenings and phlebotomy.
• Administer immunizations from infant to adult.
• Conduct Point of Care testing (strep, COVID, influenza, A1C, etc.).
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical documentation and confidentiality.
