Job Description

Assist in coordinating examination, treatment, and healthcare planning under provider supervision. Support office functions to enhance patient care and operations. Follow established protocols, policies, and workflows.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient care using a team-based approach under supervision
  • Prepare and room patients, obtain vital signs, document information, update medication and social history, assist with screenings, and review orders
  • Perform back-office testing and assist providers with examinations and procedures
  • Serve as a scribe if trained, follow up with patients, and notify test results
  • Prepare exam rooms, manage supplies, sterilize instruments, perform lab controls, administer medications, and document in EHR
  • Perform clerical duties and may float between locations
Qualifications

Minimum: High School/GED, completion of Medical Assistant program or 1-year direct patient care experience, CPR, background checks

Certification: Certification within 120 days if not already certified; accepted certifications include NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA

Preferred:

Associate's Degree
