Job summary

OptumCare is hiring a Medical Assistant at our Mesa, AZ site to support providers in ambulatory clinics. The role covers back-office tasks, injections, diagnostic testing, phlebotomy, and patient service.

We offer a $6,000 sign-on bonus, hourly pay ranging from $16 to $29, overtime, PTO, holidays, and career development. Requires MA program or military medic training, CPR/BLS, and EMR/EHR experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program, or Military Medic program.
• Current CPR and / or BLS certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.

The Medical Assistant performs a variety of back office activities to assist providers in conducting quality clinics, including administering injections, diagnostic testing, phlebotomy, quality surveys and various other procedures. Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or GED
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program, or Military Medic program

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in an ambulatory care setting
• Experience with multiple EMR/EHR Systems such as EPIC, E-Clinical Works (ECW), Allscripts Practice Management (APM), NextGen, Cerner
• Bilingual - Spanish
