Virtua Health in Bordentown is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient exams, obtain vitals, and document medical history. The role includes phlebotomy, vaccines, EKGs, and coordinating tests under physician supervision. On-site in a busy health system with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Required are a high school diploma or equivalent, CMA certification, and BLS. DE certification timelines apply; on-site training and ongoing professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Virtua Health Medical Assistant Program.
• Current certification/registration as a Medical Assistant.
• In the state of DE, certification is required within 1 year of hire.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsabilités

• Prepares patient for exam by obtaining and documenting vital signs, and chief complaint, and preparing patient for provider exam.
• Performs phlebotomy and obtains specimens for processing. Administers vaccines and completes required documentation. Performs diagnostic tests such as EKG, Pulmonary Function, etc.
• Screens and directs patient calls according to established protocol. Contacts patients regarding prescriptions and testing results as directed by and under the supervision of the physician.
• Performs daily regulatory testing as required and documents accordingly, to ensure that clinical equipment is accurate and compliant.
• Maintains par level of clinical supplies for facility.
• Performs front desk duties as directed which may include registering patients, billing, and appointment scheduling.

Job Information

Summary: Prepares patient and assists clinical provider with patient examination by obtaining and documenting vital signs, past medical history, social history and chief complaint. Performs various clinical tasks within the scope of their certification and under the supervision of the physician.

Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required

0-2 years of similar job experience in a medical office preferred.

Required Education

HS diploma or equivalent.

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Virtua Health Medical Assistant Program.

Training/Certifications/Licensure

Current certification/registration as a Medical Assistant.

In the state of DE, certification is required within 1 year of hire.

BLS Certification required.

Hourly Rate

Hourly Rate: $19.54 - $29.20 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
