Job summary

The Floating Hospital in Union City, NJ is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in patient evaluations, perform phlebotomy, administer PPDs, and handle routine lab processing.

You will maintain infection control, manage EMR documentation, and coordinate with Scheduling to ensure patients understand post-visit instructions.

Qualified candidates will hold NY Medical Assistant certs and CPR/first aid, with 3–5 years experience and Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Medical Assistant certification, CPR and first aid certifications.
• Three to five years’ clinical experience preferred.
• Spanish language ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians during patient evaluations.
• Perform phlebotomy.
• Administer PPDs as ordered.
• Obtain and process laboratory specimens.
• Coordinate care with Scheduling Department for patient health care.
• Ensure patients understand post-visit instructions before leaving the clinic.
• Maintain infection control standards and clinic safety.
