Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Naples, FL seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians in a busy clinic.

You will perform venipuncture, run basic lab tests, assist with procedures, and help maintain quality control of instruments, with travel to affiliated clinics as needed.

Minimum one year of clinic experience, valid Florida driver's license, and BLS certification (or within 30 days).

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician’s office with venipuncture preferred.
• Valid Florida driver’s license needed for travel to clinics.
• High school diploma or GED required and must be produced at time of hire.
• BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course within first 30 days).

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures in office.
• Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance.
