Job summary

US Fertility is seeking a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist for Shady Grove Fertility in Stony Point, VA. Schedule includes every other Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM, with compensation of $20.00–$22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

The role supports a nationwide network of fertility centers and emphasizes compassionate patient care. The MA/Phlebotomist will perform high-volume phlebotomy, assist with clinical care, manage lab specimens, and provide education and support to

Qualifications

• Strong phlebotomy skills and patient-care focus.
• High School diploma is required; formal MA program preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication, good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and comfort with data entry and computer use.
• Minimum of one year of healthcare experience and familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Perform high volume phlebotomy.
• Maintain supplies for blood drawing stations.
• Assist with clinical care of fertility patients.
• Ensure specimens are sent to proper labs.
• Provide patient counseling and education per physician orders.
• Assist with pre/postoperative education and IUIs setup.
• Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance.
• Enter labs and print labels in the computer system.
• Provide compassionate support to patients and families.
• Work independently to achieve program goals.
• Support excellent customer service.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Stony Point, Virginia.

• Schedule: Every other Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM
• Compensation: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, the Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist will:

• Perform high volume of phlebotomy
• Maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations
• Assist with the clinical care of fertility patients
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs
• Provide patient/couple counseling, procedure teaching, communicates physician orders and instructions
• Provide pre and post op education
• Perform semen washes and sets up for IUIs
• Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance
• Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels
• Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients’ families
• Work independently to assure the program goals are achieved
• Support and promote excellence in customer service

Qualifications and Skills Include

• Strong phlebotomy skills required
• High School diploma
• Completion of a formal MA program; preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow-through, and high degree of comfort with computer applications, accuracy and speed with data entry is required
• Minimum of one year of prior experience in healthcare and familiarity with medical terminology
