Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist - Uniontown, PA

Preferred Primary Care Physicians is currently recruiting for a full-time Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist at our practice in Uniontown, PA. The ideal candidate will have both back office and front office medical assistant skills, including experience with referrals, prior authorizations, and patient rooming/discharging. Position Overview

Assist physicians and nurses with patient care, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. May include appointment scheduling and electronic chart management.

Responsibilities
  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms and record all patient data prior to provider assessment.
  • Administer injections as directed.
  • Collect patient records, lab data, and diagnostics for assessment.
  • Draw blood specimens following safety protocols.
  • Verify test requisitions and patient identification.
  • Maintain specimen integrity and track collections.
  • Perform bleeding time tests and record results.
  • Follow department procedures to ensure quality results.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Assist with exams, procedures, and patient education activities.
  • Handle administrative duties including scheduling, documentation, and supply management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program preferred. Six months of experience in a medical setting is preferred but open to new graduates.
