Job description

Supplemental Income - Per Diem Employee

QUEST Diagnostics is a leading provider of Worksite Wellness Screenings, Immunizations, and health improvement programs. Our Providers visit businesses and corporations to perform screenings and immunizations for employees. During biometric wellness screenings, providers collect measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, waist and/or hip circumference, and perform finger sticks for glucose and cholesterol levels. Events are held during regular business hours on weekdays. If you are available on at least two weekdays regularly, this position might be ideal for you.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform biometric screenings at client sites, including finger stick blood collection.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during health screenings and immunization clinics.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and legible records.
  • Participate in training, retraining, and continuing education programs as necessary.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures, including the use of protective equipment to prevent exposure to infectious agents.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local laws, and adhere to quality assurance procedures and good manufacturing practices.
  • Maintain HIPAA and OSHA standards during events.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements: Can you meet these requirements?
Education/Certification:
  • High School diploma/GED and/or medical license (e.g., Nursing license).
  • Formal medical education with current appropriate medical certification.
  • Additional medical certification or licensure as required by state or regulatory bodies.
Work Experience:
  • At least 2 years of healthcare experience in a professional setting.
  • Completion of a fingerstick within the last 1-2 years.
  • Proficiency in finger stick blood collection and manual blood pressure measurement.
  • At least one year of immunization/IM injection experience.
  • Experience with CardioChek machine preferred.
  • Skills in specimen and reagent handling, labeling, processing, transportation, and storage are necessary for team lead roles.
Work and Physical Conditions/Requirements:
  • Work typically occurs in corporate or conference room settings.
  • Willingness to travel within a 30-mile radius to screening sites.
  • Ability to lift light to moderately heavy objects, up to 40 pounds.
  • Fine motor skills and hand steadiness.
  • Attention to detail in examining and observing.

All protective gear will be provided on site.
