Position: Per Diem Employee for Supplemental Income
QUEST Diagnostics is a leading provider of Worksite Wellness Screenings, Immunizations, and health improvement programs. Our Providers visit businesses and corporations to perform screenings and immunizations for employees. During biometric wellness screenings, providers collect measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, waist and/or hip circumference, and perform finger sticks for glucose and cholesterol levels. Events are scheduled during regular business hours on weekdays. If you are available at least two weekdays regularly, this could be an ideal position for you.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform biometric screenings at client sites, including finger stick blood collection.
- Provide exceptional customer service during health screenings and immunization clinics.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and legible records.
- Participate in training, retraining, and continuing education as needed.
- Follow safety policies and procedures, including the use of protective equipment to prevent exposure to infectious agents.
- Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, and adhere to quality assurance procedures and good manufacturing practices.
- Maintain HIPAA and OSHA standards during events.
- Perform other related duties as necessary.
Requirements: Can you meet these requirements?
Education/Certification:
- High School diploma/GED and/or medical license (e.g., Nursing license).
- Formal medical education with current appropriate medical certification.
- Additional medical certifications or licensure as required by state or regulatory authorities.
Work Experience:
- At least 2 years of healthcare experience in a professional healthcare setting.
- Completion of a fingerstick within the last 1-2 years.
- Proficiency with finger stick blood collection and manual blood pressure measurement.
- At least one year of immunization/IM injection experience.
- Experience with CardioChek machine is preferred.
- Skills in proper specimen and reagent handling, labeling, processing, transportation, and storage are necessary for team lead roles.
Work and Physical Conditions/Requirements:
- Worksite screenings typically occur in corporate or conference room settings.
- Travel is required within a 30-mile radius to screening locations.
- Ability to lift light to moderately heavy objects, up to 40 pounds.
- Fine motor skills and steadiness with hands.
- Attention to detail during examinations and observations.
All protective gear will be provided on site.
