Ideal candidates have a Medical Assistant program, phlebotomy certification, BLS, and proficiency with EHR systems, with a focus on delivering compassionate care across Arkansas communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completed an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
• Certified in Phlebotomy with BLS certification.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures by taking vital signs and histories.
• Perform phlebotomy including venipuncture and capillary puncture.
• Label and process specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures.
• Maintain patient records in HIPAA-compliant fashion and ensure data accuracy.
• Schedule patient appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate communication.
• Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and exam rooms.
• Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure care and answer basic health questions.
