Job summary

Vivo Infusion seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant in Boulder, CO to join our infusion center team. You will welcome patients, support medical staff, and deliver compassionate care in line with guidelines and regulations.

The role also involves front-end tasks, scheduling, and coordinating patient records. The ideal candidate has prior clinical and administrative experience, CPR/BLS certification, and is able to work independently on a per diem schedule with a focus on patient safety and quality

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/BLS certification required prior to start date; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• 1 year of clinical experience required; 1 year in admin/patient-facing or customer service role preferred.
• Phlebotomy and lab processing skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, assist with scheduling, manage phone calls, and process payments.
• Room clinic patients in person or virtually and update patient charts.
• Provide front-end support and ensure smooth patient flow in exam rooms.
• Assist providers with exams and collect/submit lab specimens as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and infection control guidelines.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Performs a variety of patient care activities rendering quality patients in accordance with standards of practiceRoom clinic patients in person or virtually and update patient chart with the required informationCommunicate pertinent patient data to providers and nurses to ensure quality and continuity of patient careProvide administrative and front end support Greet patients assist with scheduling manage phone calls incoming and outgoing and process paymentsOversees and ensures efficient turnover of exam roomsAssist provider in the exam room as requestedCollect prepare and submit ordered patient lab specimens as directedAssist Patient Services team as needed to obtain prior authorizations for prescribed treatments and documentsTriage patient phone calls and messages and document them appropriatelyOrders and manages supplies under the direction of managerDisinfect and stock the exam roomsAssist in obtaining records required for the patients chartDemonstrate effective communication skills reporting patient issues as needed throughout the treatment dayFollow company policies and CDC guidelines for infection controlAssist with proper handling and storage of hazardous materialsMaintain confidentiality of all company and patient records Adhere to HIPPACommunicates schedule changes to the team and assists with rescheduling patientsManages incoming mail and deliveries

Qualifications

Education and Experience High school graduate or equivalent requiredMedical Assistant Certification preferredCPRBLS required prior to start date1 year of experience working within a clinical environment required1 year in an administrative patient facing or customer service role requiredPhlebotomy and lab processing skills preferred
