Providence Swedish is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support licensed clinicians and help deliver patient care at our Redmond clinics. The role requires performing tasks under supervision and following established policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure safe, compassionate care.

You will build on MA I responsibilities, demonstrate clinical competency, and contribute to a team focused on improving patient outcomes across our Puget Sound network.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on clinical training in medical assisting.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or apprenticeship.
• Minimum one year of medical assistant experience with clinical skills.
• Certification requirements upon hire: WA Medical Assistant Certification.
• Within 30 days: BLS - American Heart Association.

Description

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. The MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants Or
• Coursework/Training Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program Or
• Coursework/Training Completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces Or
• Coursework/Training Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 6 months Healthcare experience.
• 6 months Medical Assistant experience.

Pay Range: $26.47 - $40.49. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
