Position Details

• Position: Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant
• Hourly Pay Range: $17.50 - $28.84 (determined by experience and expertise); starting minimum will be $19.89 beginning May 2025
• Type: Full Time
• Location: Glenbrook Hospital, Glenview, IL
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
• Required Travel: Yes - Skokie, IL

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration and verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications, and reason for visit
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height, and weight; phlebotomy and injections may be required
• Provide administrative support to the physician practice, check in and check out patients

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; medical assisting program preferred but not required
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification preferred
• At least one year of relevant work experience; on-the-job training provided for those without prior medical assistant experience
