Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant
  • Location: Glenview, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Part-Time - Per Diem position
  • Hours: Mondays - Fridays
  • Required Travel: n/a

What you will do:

  • Answer phones
  • Schedule appointments
  • Collect co-payments
  • Complete patient registration
  • Provide administrative support to the physician practice
  • Check in and check out patients
  • Verify insurances
  • Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms
  • Document vital signs, allergies, medications, and reason for visit
  • Provide front office support as needed
  • Perform basic vitals like BP, height, and weight
  • Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What you will need:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred but not required.
  • Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) preferred but not required.
  • Experience: One year of work experience required; previous experience in a medical office or related field preferred. On-the-job training is provided for those without previous medical assistant training or experience.
