Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant in Glenview, IL. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with hours Mon-Fri 7:00AM-7:00PM and one weekend rotation per month, plus occasional travel to other locations.

You will handle phones, scheduling, registrations, co-pays, insurance verification and basic vitals, with phlebotomy/injections possible. Requires HS diploma, CPR, 1 year experience; medical assisting program preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assisting program preferred.
• Certification: CPR through the American Heart Association required; MA certification preferred but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required; prior medical office experience preferred.

Hourly Pay Range:

$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Po sition Highlights:

• Position: Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant


• Location: Glenview, IL


• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time (40 hours per week)


• Hours: Monday to Friday, rotating between 7:00AM-7:00PM, with one weekend rotation a month


• Required Travel: This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs

What you will do:

• Answer phones


• Schedule appointments


• Collect co-payments


• Complete patient registration


• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice


• Check in and check out patient


• Verify insurances


• Greet patients and escort them to exam room


• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit


• Provide front office support as needed


• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight


• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What you will need:

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required


• Certification : CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) is preferred, but not required


• Experience : One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience
