Hourly Pay Range:

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Medial Assistant/Patient Support Assistant - Immediate Care

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant
  • Endeavor Health is currently reviewing our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $19.89 hourly starting with May 2025 paychecks.
  • Location: Niles, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 7 PM; rotating weekends, Saturday-Sunday, 8 AM - 5 PM
  • Required Travel: Travel to other sites based on departmental needs

What you will do:

  • Answer phones
  • Schedule appointments
  • Collect co-payments
  • Complete patient registration
  • Provide administrative support to the physician practice
  • Check in and check out patients
  • Verify insurances
  • Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms
  • Document vital signs, allergies, medications, and reason for visit
  • Provide front office support as needed
  • Perform basic vitals like BP, height, and weight
  • Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What you will need:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited medical assisting program preferred but not required
  • Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) preferred but not required
  • Experience: At least one year of work experience; previous experience in a medical office preferred. On-the-job training available for those without prior medical assistant experience.
