Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant (MA/PSA) - Immediate Care - Chicago

Position Highlights:
  • Position: Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant
  • Hourly Pay Range: $17.50 - $28.84. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
  • Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $19.89 base pay hourly rate beginning with May 2025 paychecks.
  • Location: Chicago, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
  • Hours: Monday through Friday 9a-7pm, rotating Saturday/Sunday 8am – 5pm
  • Required Travel: Travel to other sites based upon department need
What you will do:
  • Answer phones
  • Schedule appointments
  • Collect co-payments
  • Complete patient registration
  • Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
  • Check in and check out patient
  • Verify insurances
  • Greet patients and escort them to exam room
  • Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
  • Provide front office support as needed
  • Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
  • Phlebotomy and injections may be required
What you will need:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required.
  • Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
