Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting. You will manage patient flow, prepare rooms, assist with procedures, collect vitals, and support the revenue cycle and patient experience.

The role requires a high school diploma, MA certification (AAMA/AMCA/AMT/NCCT/NHA), BLS, and 3 years of MA experience. Immunizations may be administered and EPIC EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification as Medical Assistant (AAMA/AMCA/AMT/NCCT/NHA) is required.
• BLS certification required or obtainable within 3 months.
• Minimum 3 years of Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient flow to optimize provider and exam room usage.
• Prepare medical records and capture patient data and chief complaints.
• Demonstrate strong customer service in all patient interactions.
• Maintain safe, clean patient environments and assist providers during visits.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare for visits.
• Assist with examinations and procedures as needed.
• Record vital signs and review medications with patients.
• Assist with specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
