Job summary

The Wellstar Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to support physicians and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced clinic in Georgia. This role covers front- and back-office tasks, vital signs, patient prep, treatments, tests coordination, and accurate medical record documentation to ensure smooth patient care delivery.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and CMA or other approved medical assisting certification, with BLS or equivalent certification

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and Medical Assisting certification.
• BLS or equivalent certification required at hire.
• Experience in physician practice preferred; 1 year preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; basic computer skills.
• Strong teamwork and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Gather and record vital signs and prepare patients for exams.
• Assist physicians with treatments and coordinate tests.
• Handle front- and back-office duties and ensure patient flow.
