Job summary

Wellstar Health System, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to support physicians with clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

You will collect vitals, prepare patients, and assist during examinations, while coordinating tests and follow-up care to ensure smooth patient flow. You will work under the Nurse Supervisor/Office Manager, contributing to a safe, compassionate patient experience and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or Medical Assisting certificate required.
• Current, active certifications upon hire (as listed).
• Ability to read, write and speak English; basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care with consideration for diverse populations.
• Assist physicians and APPs with exams and treatments.
• Prepare rooms and equipment; assist with front office duties as needed.
• Record vital signs, prepare patients for visits, and document care in EHR.
