Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic clinical skills delivering patient care in outpatient setting.
• Obtains and maintains BCLS Healthcare Provider Course.
• Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, families and colleagues.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or will graduate within 6 months of hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA or equivalent within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients through the medical practice.
• Complete clinical assessments and document in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians and health team members to implement orders.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Communicate openly with patients, physicians, and health team members.
• Assist in care and maintenance of work area equipment and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
