Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Medical Assistant in Sunriver, Oregon to support physicians, PAs, and NPs with clinical and clerical duties. The role focuses on patient flow, room preparation, vital signs, documentation in the EHR, and coordination of referrals and follow-ups.

Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of an accredited MA program, BLS certification, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant program.
• 0-1 year related work experience, required.
• 2-4 years related work experience, preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination room and equipment.
• Escort patients and assist during visits.
• Maintain patient flow and timely room turnover.
• Document in EHR and update medication lists.
• Schedule appointments according to guidelines.
• Provide scribing services as needed.
• Ensure safety and proper waste disposal.
