Job summary

Meeker Family Health Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians by performing direct patient care, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with procedures. The role requires handling patient histories, vital signs, and documentation to ensure smooth clinic operations.

The position is full-time and hourly, with duties including blood draws, minor procedures, and patient education. Current BLS certification and CMA/MA credentials are preferred for this hands-on clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant preferred.
• Current BLS certification within three months of hire required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct medical care to patients under the direction of a physician.
• Maintain exam room and stock supplies, filing, maintaining records, and other general clinic duties.
• Assess, plan, delegate, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Obtain patient history, vital signs, and reason for visit.
• Assist providers with procedures and prepare exam rooms for procedures.
• Draw blood and remove sutures as directed by physician.
• Document treatments, procedures, education, and medications.
• Conduct eye exams using the Snellen Eye Chart.
• Perform instrument cleaning and prepare for sterilization.
