Job summary

MainStreet Family Care in Cherryville, NC seeks a Medical Assistant to support on-site providers and deliver high-quality patient care. You will assist with intake, triage, documentation, and routine procedures in a fast-paced urgent/primary care setting.

The role requires strong communication, basic MS Office skills, and adaptability to a rotating 4/3 schedule. Compensation starts at $15/hr with comprehensive benefits enrollment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Medical assisting experience or education is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Provider(s) in the care of patients to ensure quality medical care.
• Triage patients promptly according to clinic procedures.
• Document vital signs, weight, and medical history updates.
• Perform lab tests per guidelines and provider instructions.
• Manage digital patient records and support EHR transition.
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness.
• Administer prescribed medications under supervision.
• Assist during examinations and procedures.
• Position patients for x-rays as directed.
• Help monitor and manage medical inventory.
