Job summary

The role involves pre-visit planning, charting, preparing patients for exams, and coordinating with providers to ensure timely and efficient visits. You will assist with vital signs, update records, manage supplies, and participate in quality improvement while meeting state guidelines for injections and immunizations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of clinical experience OR graduate of Medical Assistant program required.
• Two years of experience in similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Customer service experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating the patient record and coordinating necessary services.
• Prepare patients for examination and escort them to the exam room.
• Assist in injections or immunizations within state guidelines and maintain clinical supplies.
• Dispose bio-hazardous waste and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms.
• Communicate with the Care Team regarding hospital discharge, tests, and follow-up visits.
