Qualifications

• Medical assistant diploma/certificate from an accredited program.
• National certification for CMA/NCCT/AMT.
• Training in injections, venipuncture, and related procedures (≥10 hours).
• Active CPR/BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• Knowledge of normal/abnormal symptomatology and urgent medical problems.
• Ability to administer CPR and various medications (oral/IM/subcutaneous).
• Ability to perform venipuncture with proper PPE and OSHA compliance.
• Ability to obtain vital signs and manage drug refills.
• Ability to assist in emergencies and with office procedures.
• Familiarity with computerized patient care systems and medical terminology.
