Job summary

BrightView Health seeks a Medical Assistant to support high-quality patient care by following treatment program policies and procedures. You will perform lab procedures under supervision, assist with planning, assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patient needs, and ensure compliant documentation in the EMR.

The role emphasizes teamwork in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting, adherence to HIPAA, and commitment to patient-centered care with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Empathy and compassion to support patients in recovery.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and regulatory requirements is preferred.
• Prior harm reduction experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate timely and efficient patient flow during visits.
• Perform administrative duties to support patient flow.
• Prepare specimens for shipping in accordance with best practices.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and a sanitary workspace.
• Document and input information into the EMR accurately.
