Job summary

Central Ohio Primary Care in Reynoldsburg, OH, is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time, benefits-eligible role. You will collaborate with the clinical care team to deliver high-quality patient care, perform routine exams, draw blood, administer vaccines, and document in the EHR.

The ideal candidate will have a Medical Assistant program credential, a high school diploma or equivalent, and MA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program required.
• MA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the clinical care team to deliver the best care for our patients.
• Foster direct communication between care team, patient/caregiver and care providers to optimize outcomes.
• Set up medical equipment and perform related tests, administer injections, and collect specimens.
• Vaccine administration as directed.
• Interview patients and obtain medical history.
• Measure and record vital signs in patients’ EHR.
• Blood draws and specimen processing.
• Assist in routine medical procedures.
• Prepare patients and treatment rooms for exams; position instruments and equipment.
• Review orders and lab requests; call in prescriptions/refills as approved.
• Communicate test results to patients.
• Assist with patient education and forms/paperwork.
• Respond to patient calls; maintain confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area; adhere to HIPAA.
• Attend meetings and participate in classroom activities.
• All other duties as assigned.
