Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred.
• 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience under a licensed healthcare supervisor within the last 3 years preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance eligibility and paperwork.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments for the center.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed.
• Answer patient questions about care and status.
• Inform technical staff about patient flow and room readiness.
• Prepare patients for examinations and document medical history.
• Record vital signs and escalate critical cases to the provider.
• Perform point-of-care testing as needed and relay results to provider.
• Maintain supplies and exam rooms; manage inventory and expiration dates.
• Maintain medical records and scan charts into patient files.
