OhioHealth in Galion is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform administrative and clinical duties delegated by the physician, supporting patient care in accordance with the Ohio Administrative Code and practice licensure. You will assist with patient flow, EMR documentation, data collection, and coordination with the health care team, while maintaining a safe, clean environment and reporting equipment issues.

A High School diploma or GED and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; one of the listed MA program paths preferred.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• Military medic training or paramedic cert acceptable; or 1+ year physician-trained MA experience.

Responsabilités

• Facilitate efficient patient flow and prepare patients for visits.
• Complete Care Connect/EPIC EMR documentation and enter data.
• Perform administrative duties to keep information current and manage EMR inbox.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment, and report malfunctions.
• Communicate with patients respectfully and coordinate with care team.
• Collect and monitor patient data and report needs as directed.
• Ensure documentation guidelines for chargeable items are followed.
• Engage in quality improvement and training activities and support new staff.
