Job summary

Premier Cardiovascular Consultants is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the medical staff across multiple Metro Detroit locations. The role requires excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and a customer service mindset to assist with both medical and administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate will have experience with EMR systems, a High School Diploma (Medical Assistant Diploma preferred) or equivalent, and be a team player who can multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or Medical Assistant Diploma (preferred) or 2 years of experience.
• Medical staff support with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with EMR systems and patient record management.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties to assist medical staff in serving patients.
• Schedule patient appointments following guidelines and protocols.
• Prepare exam rooms and record vitals in EMR.
• PerformEKGs and blood draws as needed.
• Assign patients to exam rooms and provide status updates.
• Review charts ensuring test results and documents are present before examination.
• Ensure cleanliness of equipment, instruments, and exam rooms.
• Assist with venous insufficiency procedures and dispose of bio-hazard materials.
• Complete forms for providers and assist with prescription calls or submissions.
• Provide front desk support and handle phone triage.
