Job summary

Austin Regional Clinic in Round Rock, TX, seeks a Medical Assistant to support provider practice with direct patient care, triage calls, and medication administration. Under nursing leadership, you will manage patient rooms, vitals, diagnostic testing, and EPIC documentation.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, teamwork, and adherence to clinic protocols, with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional holiday shifts. BLS/CPR may be required within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant experience or direct patient care experience.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred; CPR/BLS within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, records vital signs, and prepares for provider exam.
• Administers medications under physician direction and within scope.
• Performs diagnostic tests (EKG, audiograms, spirometry) and documents in EPIC EMR.
• Reviews refill in basket and assists with daily medication refills.
• Reviews triage calls and notifies provider as needed.
