Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Charlevoix, MI seeks a Medical Assistant to provide frontline patient care and support clinic operations. You will room patients, take vitals, prepare for visits, and document medical histories under supervision.

This role requires credentialed or graduate MA status, BLS preferred, with vaccination requirements for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and flu vaccination or exemptions. Schedule is 40 hours weekly, day shift, 8am-5pm, with occasional floating.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Medical Assistant per Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization.
• BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year (1) relevant experience working in a physician practice or similar healthcare setting for non-credentialed MA role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinical and administrative tasks in the clinic alongside the provider to ensure smooth operations.
• Be the first point of patient care, room and prepare patients per clinic checklists, and measure vitals such as weight, height, oxygen saturation, temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Complete required patient care documentation including Medical Histories and referral requests.
• Assist with day-to-day operations as required for optimal patient care and support for teammates and providers.
