Job summary

Holland Hospital in Holland, MI is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and care teams in delivering high-quality patient care. You will obtain vitals, prepare patients for exams, assist with procedures, and help with documentation and referrals.

You will educate patients, follow up on care gaps, and collaborate with the care team to optimize workflows and patient experiences in both primary and specialty settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration or LPN required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required within 60 days of hire.
• Experience with pre-visit planning, care coordination, and EMR-based patient registries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vitals and prepare patients for exams.
• Assist providers with procedures and maintain sterile fields.
• Coordinate referrals and testing per protocol.
• Review AVS with patients and families to ensure understanding.
• Provide patient education on care gaps and preventive health.
