Job summary

Saban Community Clinic in West Hollywood, CA is seeking a Regular, Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our team at 8405 Beverly Blvd.

You will set up exam rooms, assist doctors, record vital signs and tests, and coordinate referrals. California MA certification and experience with EHR/CAIR are required; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have California Medical Assistant certification.
• Experience with venipuncture, audiometry and spirometry.
• Ability to perform EKG tests.
• Bilingual in Spanish, Russian, Armenian or Korean preferred.
• Prior clinical experience in a community clinic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up exam rooms and stock supplies before clinic sessions.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Record vital signs, vision and audiometry, spirometry, EKGs and venipuncture results.
• Provide information to patients regarding referrals, follow-up appointments and test results.
• Conduct birth control and pregnancy counseling per training.
• Use computer systems (i2i, EHR, CAIR) for data entry.
• Monitor medical supplies inventory.
• Collect and label blood, urine and other specimens per policy; prepare for transport.
• Perform routine lab tests (urinalysis, pregnancy tests, hemoglobin).
• Clean and sterilize equipment; dispose of waste per safety guidelines.
• Document tests, specimens and supplies per procedures.
