Job summary

WMCP WMC Physician Practices in Oakdale, PA is seeking a Medical Assistant/clinical support individual to perform basic nursing tasks under physician supervision. The role includes patient check-in, vitals, room preparation, and assisting with exams and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant Program or 1 year clinical experience.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greets and escorts patient to exam rooms; obtains initial information and vital signs.
• Prepares exam rooms for patients with attention to cleanliness and supplies.
• Assists with and/or performs exams, tests, and procedures.
• Schedules appointments and referrals as needed.
• Assists provider during patient examinations and procedures.
• Educates patients on follow up expectations.
• Maintains quality control testing logs.
• Ensures medical equipment is in proper working condition.
• Assists with medical documentation and office tasks.
