Job summary

IVFMD - Miami is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a full-time position at our Miami location. The ideal candidate will educate, treat, and inform patients for their appointment, and build strong patient relationships. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm with potential weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Diploma from Medical Assisting program REQUIRED; CMA preferred.
• 2 years prior experience, preferably in healthcare.
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and keyboarding.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assisting physician with patient care.
• Prepare patients for exams or treatment including taking patient history, vitals and phlebotomy.
• Document patient care in the medical records system accurately and in a timely manner.
• Organize, stock and clean rooms as well as sterilize instruments.
• Answering phones/scheduling appointments as well as general administrative tasks.
