Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking an Medical Assistant III for outpatient clinics in Michigan. The role focuses on patient flow, clinical tasks under physician leadership, and supporting physicians and staff with strong customer service.

The position requires licensure/certifications, a completing MA program, and CPR/BLS. You may cover front desk duties and other departments as needed, with potential for professional growth within a large not-for-profit health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited MA program with clinical rotation.
• 1 year MA experience; or CH MA internship and 6 months MA experience; or CH MA apprenticeship.
• 2 years MA experience preferred.
• Active BLS/CPR certifications (AHA/ARC) within required timelines.
• CMA, RMA, ARMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA certifications within required timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist management in achieving clinic efficiencies and patient flow.
• Provide front-office duties and coverage as needed.
• Support physicians and clinic staff to deliver primary and preventive care.
• Interact with outside facilities and insurance regarding patient care.
• Maintain updated competencies and speak with leadership about process and workflow.
• Provide coverage in other departments or locations as needed.
• Demonstrate customer service skills and support patient- and family-centered care.
• Act as a designated preceptor or super user for EPIC when needed.
