Job summary

Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma, WA seeks a Medical Assistant to support providers and enhance patient flow and care quality. You will perform patient care within MA scope, assist with procedures, document visits, and manage immunizations under supervision.

Strong emphasis on accurate records and team collaboration to improve patient experience. Requires MA certification in WA, BLS, and completion of an approved MA program; familiarity with EMR systems and good communication skills are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved certified medical assistant program.
• Current Washington State DOH Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care within the MA license scope of practice.
• Assists with treatments and procedures within MA scope of practice.
• Documents presenting complaint; records vital signs and exam prep.
• Administers immunizations under supervision per provider orders.
• Maintains accurate and timely records in the electronic health record daily.
• Coordinates with referral coordinators for timely referrals and tests.
• Performs daily room checks and stocks exam rooms with supplies.
