Qualifications

• ABHES/CAAHEP medical assistant program or equivalent accreditation.
• Clinical rotation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, collects assessment data and prepares patient for procedures.
• Assists in examination, treatment and clinic procedures.
• Assists with laboratory procedures and screening tests.
• Answers telephone, directs inquiries, or triages as needed.
• Schedules appointments and records in scheduler system.
• Makes reminder calls to patients.
• Greets and directs patients and visitors.
• Registers patients and verifies/update records.
• Coordinates referrals with insurance and physician offices.
• Collects payments and issues receipts.
• Prepares and maintains patient charts.
• Maintains and orders clinic supplies.
