Job summary

AdventHealth in Orange City, Florida is seeking a Medical Assistant to educate patients, coordinate care across the continuum, and support front desk operations. The role includes scheduling, patient intake, and ensuring complete medical records for visits.

You will assist with vital signs, medication reconciliation, and post-visit follow-ups while collaborating with RN Case Manager and Providers in a team-based environment. Strong English communication required.

Responsibilities

• Educates members on their care team and coordinates care across the continuum.
• Schedules appointments and referrals; supports daily clinic operations.
• Answers phone calls and assists front desk inquiries.
• Maintains the clinical space and reviews patient records for history.
• Performs initial health screens and intake for new members.
• Obtains and reviews medical records to ensure comprehensive history.
• Manages RAF reviews and prepares for patient visits.
• Welcomes patients and provides tours; distributes welcome packets.
• Ensures medical records are available during visits and conducts post-visit follow‑ups.
• Performs screenings and tests as ordered; supports check-out processes.
