Job summary

OptumCare is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant in California to support clinical teams with direct patient care, documentation, and routine procedures. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and office staff to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced clinical setting, while maintaining accurate EMR records and infection control protocols.

Required are a Medical Assistant program completion, BLS certification, and 1+ year of MA experience. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• BLS certification from AHA or willing to obtain by hire date.
• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Delivers high-quality patient care through face-to-face, phone, and electronic contact for exams and procedures.
• Collects and documents patient information, vital signs, alerts, and related data.
• Assists physicians and nursing staff with injections, EKGs, phlebotomy and other tasks.
• Coordinates patient care per physicians' guidance and company policies.
• Maintains EMR and paper documentation for assessments and procedures.
• Prepares rooms and adheres to infection control protocols.
